Season 2013/14 will open with a West End Cup One-Day fixture against the Kensington Browns at Parkinson Reserve.

There will be some extra spice in this clash after James Smith left the nest for the Browns during the off-season. Although it is extremely likely that both James and younger brother and new Eagles captain Kelvin will be tied up with the new SACA Premier League and unavailable for this game (ironically both playing for the Western Grit), there is no doubt the Eagles will want to prove their strength without the elder Smith at the club.

The game starts at 11am and all supporters are encouraged to get along and cheer on the boys in enemy territory.
