Eagles hunting a huge target

The Eagles Men’s 1st Grade are right in the hunt for an unlikely semi-final win after Sturt posted 361 from 116.3 overs. Our big quicks did the damage with Johnson (4/115) and Buckingham (3/93) bundling out the tail this morning after only 5 wickets fell on Day 1. The Eagles only have 75 overs to chase the big total and are currently 2/272 thanks to 141* from Smith and 77* from Drew. With 16 overs and 88 runs needed it should be an amazing finish – pop your head into Price Memorial or tune in to the live stream to catch the last hour.

In other games today the 1st Grade Women are on track for a win after posting 6/209 (50) with new recruit Niamh Bullen again impressing with 62. Northern’s are 8/140 (35.3) with skipper Jess Joseph having taken 5/34 (10). The 2nd Grade Women has a great win to close out the season, having no issues getting to 0/63 in 12 overs after Northern’s were all out 60. Willoughby (2/4), Murdoch (2/7) and Barone (2/4) did the damage with the ball.
