The Mens 1st grade have won their first premiership since the Triple Crown in 2016/17 with a tight win against a determined Glenelg side.

At 4/65 the Eagles were in some bother with Smith, Capel, Drew and Nielsen back in the sheds. Peters (35) joined Gibson (75) to put on over 100 and help Torrens to 9/232 off 50 overs.

Buckingham (4/27) took two early wickets but at 6/202 after 46 overs the game was still in the balance. Centurion Winter was looking good to guide the Seahorses home until Buckingham got the big wicket of Winter and then Johnson (2/32) helped to finish of the tail. With 3 balls to go Reuther took the catch to record a 17 run win and spark wild celebrations amongst the Eagles faithful.

Supporters are welcome to join the celebrations back at Henley Oval tonight.
